This year I took Noah and his buddy to the school's Harvest Hoorah. We sat outside and listened to some fun stories, Noah's favorite was 'A Soup Opera' which was very fun indeed. They handed out free donuts and apple juice and a fun time was had by all!
Please enjoy these lovely pictures of my silly family at the golf course. My uncle, Herb, was out here on business and had the opportunity to come spend some time at my dad's house. It was so great to see my uncle and have my siblings together!
My birthday this year (the big 30) just happened to coincide with Payson Onion Days. Dale's school had a booth so we visited him and Noah rode the carnival rides. Oddly enough, I did not see one single onion related item at 'Onion Days'. I suspect some of the carnies were sporting a delightful onion-like fragrance but I doubt it was just for Onion Days. For my birthday most of my siblings got together in Orem, my mom made Hawaiian haystacks and everyone pitched in and got me a ticket for LADY GAGA!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!! As Noah would say, "Lady GaGa is my mom's favorite band".
Today was Noah's first day of First Grade. I can't believe he is a first grader already. He was a bit nervous this morning but he told me that when he got in class he wasn't nervous anymore. I am a proud mama!
Yesterday Sheila, Noah, Little Hayley, and I went up to Kents Lake which is located in Beaver Canyon. We had a lot of fun rowing the little boat around and there was a bunch of fish jumping out of the water catching bugs.
Now, don't be jealous, but I have some pretty sweet photoshop skills or skillzz. Here is some work I did to turn Noah into Darth Maul from Star Wars, I know you are shocked that is not the work of a professional graphic artist.
Well, none of these pictures are very "Easter-y" but I discovered my battery was dead when I went to take pictures of the egg hunt. The pictures are of the street ball game that was taking place and the crazy cranium game we played later that evening.
On our drive up to Dallas from Houston, we made a pit-stop at Buc-ee's to enjoy their 'fabulous restrooms'. To call Buc-ee's a truck stop is does not even begin to describe it. It is sort of a self-contained village of sorts, they seemed to have anything and everything, including beaver nuggets! Don't get excited, they were just puffed corn with caramel flavoring. Their restrooms were actually large and clean so that was good too!
Pictures from our visit to the Houston Aquarium. It was raining cats and dogs outside so we didn't get to enjoy the Ferris Wheel, but we did take a chilly shark adventure train ride. Thanks so much to the Staples for hosting us!
p.s. Yes, they do have white tigers in the Houston Aquarium
Here are some pictures from Noah's birthday party. We went to Pirate Island Pizza, it was a lot of fun. Special thanks to Ms. Holly for making the awesome army cake.
This is Noah's new "room" he built. Adults are not allowed to go in, only kids, or if you are in his army club. He set it up between the two couches with pillows and blankets. He also has created a barricade made up of bouncy balls, golf balls and misc cars. The barrier is a semi-circle extending out about three feet. It has been created with great care and precision.
