Erin's Graduation

Here are a bunch o' pictures from Erin's graduation. She graduated with her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I am very proud of her, she worked super hard and will be an excellent teacher.
p.s. my dad was in attendance but scooted out of there before I could get any pictures of him.

Easter 2011

We had a super fun Easter this year. Noah and I traveled to Erin & Trevor's for the Holiday. We sort of crammed a lot into a short period of time. We didn't get our eggs colored until about 10:30 Saturday night. Erin did a super awesome egg on which she drew the pigeon from "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus". The Easter Bunny had to hide the eggs inside the house as it had been very rainy, plus there is the feral cat issue in Erin's neighborhood. I love seeing Noah and Jason together. Jason was just so excited about Noah being there that he could not possibly behave himself. Noah loves Jason so much and is so kind to him. Thanks Erin, Trevor, and Jason for letting us spend Easter with you!

p.s. The Easter Bunny brought the adults some adult-themed beverage can cozies. Say What?!?

p.p.s. Did I forget to mention Jason is French? Well he is, the whole time we were there he sat around drinking espresso, smoking cigarettes, and making disparaging remarks about Americans.

Geocaching Adventure!

Yesterday Cade took Brittany, Noah, and me on a geocaching adventure. I'm sure everyone knows what geocaching is, but just in case you don't, it is a high-tech treasure hunt. You go to geocaching.com and put in the area you want to look in and see if there are any sites around there. You put the coordinates into a hand-held gps and follow it. The 'treasure' is usually hidden (ours was covered in rocks) and in an ammo can or other weather proof container. There is a notebook inside where everyone who finds it logs the date and names, our treasure had been there since 2001. There are little treasures inside and the idea is you can take one treasure and replace it with a treasure of your own. Some people choose to leave a 'signature' item in all their treasures. Cade & Brittany left an army guy, Noah left a helicopter, and I left a silly eraser head. The only prize was taken by Noah, he chose a little frog figurine.

Noah was really excited about the whole thing and did his best Indiana Jones impression. When we started out walking, Cade started to play the Indiana Jones theme song on his phone. Due to time, and the fact that people were out shooting guns around one of the sites, we only hit one location. We definitely look forward to doing it again.

Thanks Cade and Brittany for a fun adventure!

Noah is 7!

I can't believe my little boy is seven already, time really flies. We celebrated his birthday at Pirate Island Pizza. Noah invited his friend, who you may recognize as 'Alien Boy' from a previous post. We got to eat our dinner in the "Smuggler's Cave" complete with water dripping sound effects. After the pirate party we went and saw 'Tron Legacy' in 3D, which was proclaimed "awesome" by Noah and Alien Boy. Noah watched the entire movie on the edge of his seat, sometimes I would lean over and just watch him watch the movie because he was so into it. Thanks to all who were able to come to the party and thanks for all the birthday wishes. I have such an amazing little seven year old.

Christmas 2010

This year we celebrated Christmas at my Dad's house. It was nice to have everyone there. Noah played a prank on Grandpa and gave him a barbie. Anytime a commerical came on for a "girl's" toy, Grandpa would tell Noah he was going to get him that for Christmas. Noah could barely contain himself when Grandpa opened the barbie. He was running around yelling "Oh YEAH, oh YEAH. We pranked you!", it was pretty good, and my dad got a kick out of it too.
