So, for those of you that think you are so fancy because you live within a 30 minute drive to Wal-mart. Take THIS!!! Oh, Yeah! A real Bald Eagle just chillin' on a fence post on my two hour drive to visit Erin and hit the Wal-mart for some shampoo. BOOYA!

Cousins

Erin and baby Jason came up to visit this weekend. It was really nice to have them here and Noah was excited to see his cousin. Noah kept having to touch Jason's head because he loves him and baby's heads are so small. Noah also liked to hold him and was a super helper taking diapers out to the garbage!

I really can't get this song out of my head, so I thought I'd share with you so you can suffer as well. Sometimes when I watch this show (with Noah) I think it is so weird and trippy and awful, but then sometimes I think it is kind of retro-cool. They also have cool musical guests like The Aquabats, The Ting Tings, and The Roots. Here's the song, ENJOY!

The Ghost of Bobby Dunbar

I don't know if I have professed my love for 'This American Life' on NPR before, but let me do it now. I absolutely love it! I download the podcasts and listen to them at work or on my ipod in the car. The past episode was so fascinating. It is called 'The Ghost of Bobby Dunbar'. It is about a missing boy (well two actually) and the one that is found is taken in by a well-to-do family who says he is their son, but he is also claimed by a poor 'domestic'. Neither one of the mothers initially recognizes the boy, although, they both end up claiming he is theirs. I HIGHLY recommend listening to this. It is a true story and not to be confused with the Angelina Jolie movie that is soon out on dvd called 'Changeling', but both stories are equally compelling. Noah's FIFTH Birthday!

This is a little belated posting, but when you have no computer of your own whadda gonna do? Noah had a really fun birthday. I took the day off work so we could do all the fun birthday things he wanted. I brought mini-cupcakes to his preschool class for snack-time. I thought mini-cupcakes would be a great idea because they would be just the right size, but it turned out that I should have just got REGULAR cupcakes because all the kids wanted at least two. Later that day we had Noah's official birthday party at his daycare. It was so great to have it there because they are already set up for kids and messes. Lori, who runs the daycare, is really great and I really appreciate her letting us have it there. We had a pinata (danger! danger!) and cake. Then Noah got his present from me, which was a brand spanking new bike! I had hid the bike at my friends house for over a week and then hid it in the shed at the daycare and brought it out to give to him. He was very excited, hopped on it, and fell over in the mud. WOOHOOO!! Then, when given the choice of where ever he wanted to go for dinner, what did the boy choose? Was it McDonalds? NO. Was it Pizza? NO. The kid chose SUBWAY! He just loves to 'eat fresh'.
